Chef Rob Eaton, owner of Buzzard’s Roost Southern Tea House, is living his dream of owning his own restaurant.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, he joined the United States Army shortly after school ended, and served as a medic for two years. He travelled the world while in the army, and was able to experience some of the greatest dishes and ingredients and styles of cuisine the world has to offer.
Upon returning from duty, he started to pursue his passion to be a chef and begin his journey of everything/all-that-is food. He started working at a restaurant on Intercoastal Waterway in Wilmington, NC where he learned to cook seafood, Southern cuisine and Southwestern style dishes.
Upon recommendation of Rob’s parents, he enrolled in the culinary arts program at Milwaukee Area Technical College and started working in a restaurant right away.
From Grenadier’s, a four star restaurant; to helping to open a restaurant from the ground up,Hi Hat Lounge; to Milwaukee Chophouse, where he was voted among top up-and-coming chefs to watch in Milwaukee; each restaurant had a different style of cuisine which has served him to develop his own style of cooking which merges and infuses all of the different influences.
